Born in Jackson, Mississippi in 1953, Ms. Rossiter is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology and the Banff Centre School of Fine Arts. Ms. Rossiter has worked with the materials and processes of light sensitive, gelatin silver-based photography since 1970. Her darkroom is essential to her work process, whether it involves the traditional printing of negatives, drawing with flashlights or making photograms. She is at the forefront of a small and growing school of abstract photography.
